I received my B.Sc. and Ph.D. from Tokyo University of Science (Adviser: Dr. Kengo Sakaguchi). I subsequently completed postdoctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, in the laboratory of Dr. Rick Wood. Prior to joining IBS, I was an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA.
